Why my TV & computer monitor makes high frequence noise?

Jeffrey asked:

My TV makes a very high frequency noise when it’s turned on. But despite that noise, my TV has no problem at all. Same with my computer monitor, but the difference is it makes noise when it’s off. My parents don’t hear them because it’s too high frequency for them to be heard. What or how exactly is making these noises and is there any way to fix it?

Privy_Princess asked:

I’m sure you have all had this problem. Or maybe it’s just specific to my phone carrier, I’m not sure. Anywho, I can always tell when my phone is about to ring because my computer monitor or radio (whichever my phone is close to @ the time) starts buzzing. Sometimes it just starts buzzing, but my phone doesn’t even RING?

What causes this?

Recently, I had to get glasses because I was sitting too close to my computer monitor. So, I’m just wondering is 2 feet (24 inches) a safe distance to where my eyes won’t be damaged by the screen (CRT monitor, btw.).

Hi. Does anyone know if it’s possible to use a background that would essentially turn my computer monitor into a mirror? Scanning a mirror doesn’t work.

I want to put my computer and monitor in different rooms of the house. However this means I need about 15m of cord (VGA i think) to hook up the computer to the monitor. Do such cords exist? if so how much? are their wireless ways of doing this? how? are their any problems that can occur from this set up?

Jason asked:

I just bought a DLP Samsung hl61a650; a 61 inch TV. I want to hook my computer to it and use it as a monitor. The TV has a VGA input on it, but I was wondering how distorted the picture will be? I was hoping I’ll be able to watch movies from my computer on my TV. I didn’t know since it has a VGA input if that would keep the picture from being distorted. Thanks for the help.
