kilabelle25 asked:

I want to use my TV as my computer monitor and use it to watch television. I had my cable hooked up directly to my TV card but the the channels were not clear and they were in B&W. Is it possible to switch from TV to computer mode via switch box if the cable/antenna is connected directly to the TV instead of the TV card?

resolution on a TV is nowhere near good enough for it to serve as a computer monitor. Not even HDTVs. CinderBlock

My tv was once a “Hall monitor” in tv school, but I don’t think it knows how to be a computer monitor. kc

Make sure you get a small tower, wireless Internet and a wireless keyboard (with mouse)

Most modern TVs have computer connections. The Man

Only one of the new HDTVs 1080p (1,920x 1,080) have resolution high enough to make that feasible. They also have the necessary RGB input. Don’t use a Plasma screen as they will burn in an image that stays on too long. DLP TVs are best for that (the new ones that use LEDs for a light source).. Heinz M
