Cable to send output from VCR to computer monitor?
I would like to know (as I was personally unable to find one by googleing) if there exists a cable which converts the RCA component output (the ones with red, white, and yellow cables) to VGA (female end).
My goal is to be able to connect a computer monitor (which has a male VGA end) to a VCR. I have only been able to find cables which do the OPPOSITE (going from monitor to RCA components).
Please provide a link – thank you.

Have you tried a gender changer on the vga? Klathorn
Michael – A simple cable will not do this – there are cables out there that appear to work if you look at the ends, but they do not work.
To convert component video to VGA, you need a converter: Daniel K
Not with a cable. The signals will be incompatible.
You will need to use a TV to VGA converter box. classicsat
friend it is 50% not possible because the computer screen and the tv screen are totally different and the ic in the monitor wont support the vcr output but it would support the dvd player. rajkumar
