I just got a new 23in wide screen monitor. On the reviews from newegg.com I’ve read that people use it as their TV as well. I have a relatively high understanding of computers, just not with TV cards or media players. So what do I need?

How can I use a tv as a computer monitor?
I just posted a question about a wall mounted monitor, and the answer I recieved was overwelmingly that I could use a flat screen TV for a wall mounted monitor.

However, I don’t see how that’s possible. I’ve checked the backs of those things in the store, and I don’t see any way for them to connect to a computer.

How would I connect a CPU (desktop) to a TV?

Can I transfer information from one desktop computer to another with only one monitor?

Steve W asked:

I have been given a more ‘powerful’ desktop PC, without a monitor. My computer (with monitor) tells me to use a ‘transfer’ cable to transfer the information over to the new computer. However my computer ‘transfer wizard’ tells you to let the computers ‘talk’ to each other but how do I set up both computers to do this but with only one monitor? Is there an easier way to transfer information without having to buy a transfer cable? I have a wireless router.

I am trying to set my computer monitor as an HDTV because my graphics card has an S-video slot. So I’m thinking about running an S-video cable from the graphics card to my RF Modulator. Then I can have a cable going from the RF Modulator to the digital converter box. Then I would plug the antenna into the converter box. Would that work or would I need a TV tuner?

Every once in awhile my monitor goes completely black and I try to unplug my monitor and plug it back in and still no signal. The only thing that works is restarting my computer – I got a new monitor so I know it’s not that – do you think it might be the video card? If so what would you recommend?

Benji asked:

None of my computer monitors will plug into the back of my Macintosh computer, Do I need a certain type of Monitor or something?
Regular computer monitors…… The port at the end of the cord (monitor) is smaller than the port on the back of the mac! It is like that with every monitor and monitor cord that I have!
It is a Power Macintosh G3
How much would an adapter be for that? Im sure pretty cheap right?
