No TV for Me asked:

Short Story:
I have no TV(and don’t want to get one)
I do have a new flat screen computer monitor.

I would like to purchase a home theater system & plug in my computer monitor so that I can watch DVDs on a larger screen(as opposed to my laptop – which is where I currently watch DVDs)

Is this possible? If so –
What specifically would the “specs” of the monitor need to be?
What specifically would the “specs” of the home theater system need to be?

I have a digital set top box tuner LG 3510a. I am using it now with a standard analog tv. It works fine, but I cannot view the HDTV signals in hi-def. I am thinking about buying a 19″ wide screen LCD computer monitor to view the signals in hi-def. Thanks!

I recently purchased a wide format 20.1 inch LCD monitor. It has D-sub analog and DVI inputs but does not have an S-video input. I would like to hook it up to my home theater receiver wich has S-video, YPbPr and composite outputs. Is there an easy way to make the monitor work with either the S-video or the YPbPr outputs?
I certainly don’t want to use the composite video output because of its poor quality. Im willing to spend some time and effort if the solution is not so complicated. But I can always return it, or use it as another computer monitor. Any comments our solutions?

discraft_usa asked:

Got a new 26″ lcd on the way but it does not have the 4 vesa mounting holes on the back. Is there another way to hang it on the wall?
Thx
I believe it has only 1 screw hole in the center of the back panel but doubt that will be of no use.
I’ve read also in reviews about 1 of the cons for this model is no mounting options. Just wondering if there is another way.
