Can a 1080p HDTV used as a computer monitor make you sick?

Recently I decided to use my 32″ Vizio as a computer monitor, but I’ve noticed I’ve started to become increasingly tired lately. Also I woke up this morning with a very nauseated and weak feeling. Could it be due to using the TV up close? I read something about the refresh rate of certain TVs having effects on different people. I felt fine when I went to bed (other than being tired) though so maybe its just the flu? Thanks!

My father complains that i spend too much time on the computer. He claims i will get radiation poisoning from it. If I sit roughly 2 feet away from the monitor around 3-4 hours a day, is it possible to get radiation poisoning from it? And if so how serious could it be?

I have to take a test that is entirely on the computer (GMAT) that involves having to stare at the screen in order to solve math problems and verbal questions. The nature of the questions is that you have to be aware of little tricks and pay very close attention to every detail presented.
I have to take a test that is entirely on the computer (GMAT) that involves having to stare at the screen in order to solve math problems and verbal questions. The nature of the questions is that you have to be aware of little tricks and pay very close attention to every detail presented.
When I do paper tests I do very well, but struggle with the actual computer tests because I suffer from eye strain and headaches from staring at the screen.
Are there any glasses or anything I could put over the monitor to reduce this problem?
