computer programmer staring at the monitor 12 hours a day?
I look at the computer monitor at least 12 hours a day.my eyes are all red and they burn sometimes.Is there any exercise I can do to rest my eyes or improve my vision?

Just take a short break every hour or so and look at something far away. Get an lcd monitor if you don’t have one already. They are easier on your eyes. T_B
Every hour take a five to ten minute break and just relax your eyes. RAWR
Yes there is. It’s called binocular accommodative rock. You would look alternatingly near and far. Use an object, apencil with small letters on it. Bring the pencil towards your eyes keeping the letter clear and see how close you can come, Bring the pencil towards your eyes keeping the letter single (not separated into two) and see how close you can come.
With the letter close and clear, shift your eyes to a distant target of small letters and let it clear up. Then return to the letter on the pencil.
(The pencil may be at 4″ or 8″ depanding on your ability to keep it clear.) Do this several times twice or so times a day.
If all of this is too much for you, just look up from time to time and look at small detail in the distance.
This is likely to omprove your comfort and perhaps your vision.
Of course the right glasses prescription is also an important factor. John E
