i recently bought a new desktop computer but i did not have enough money to get the monitor that i wanted so i decided to wait. but i already own a laptop that im not really using to much right now and i was wondering if there was a way to connect the two and use the laptop purely as a monitor just until i buy the monitor that i want. Please if you know the answer give a full description and process of how to do so. thank you very much for your time!

I need a new computer monitor, I can spend up to $200 (Canadian) on it. What resolution is most commonly used?

I noticed the picture on my new computer monitor was a bit fussy so I bought and new LGA cable, it worked and the picture quality was awesome. Only problem is when I have the new cable in the computer just goes to a black screen when I turn it on, so I need to have the old cable in (with the fuzzy pic) when the comp starts up and change it once windows has loaded. What could be the problem? It so annoying

the resolution is matched with my computers’ at 1600×900 but there are “shadows” and blurriness with everything. my (parents) computer is new too with integrated graphics. could that be the problem? Should I get them a smaller monitor or can i do anything that would fix the problem?

i just bought a new computer and lcd monitor, but my computer hasn’t arrived yet. i hooked my monitor up to my old computer[about 6 years old and definitely not the best], and the screen now has a yellow tint to it. i adjusted the colors and everything else i could think of, but nothing worked. is it because of the computer, and should i wait until the new one comes in? or is something wrong with the monitor itself? i’m not very good with this stuff. thank you!
i checked to see if everything was plugged in right, and even used a different cord, but its still yellow-ish. my old monitor looked fine. i’m sure the graphics card isn’t very good so maybe thats it.

I just bought a new computer monitor because my old one broke. the resolution the computer is set to is too high for my new monitor so when i boot up the screen is just black. how do i reset the resolution on boot up.

I have just got a new computer monitor and i have no clue how to set it up so it is side by side with my laptop screen, and so i can drag programs onto the other screen maximising the space i can work in

How could I hook up my xbox 360 to my computer’s monitor? The monitor is brand new and is an HD Lcd 20” monitor, which has VGA and DVI-D connections. I just want to play my xbox on HD. Thanks to anyone who helps!

My new computer monitor turns off for 40 seconds then automatically turns on for 2 minutes then off again, and the cycle continues. Moving the mouse or hitting a key does not turn it on, so I don’t think it’s in hibernation or sleep mode. Please help if you have any ideas. Thanks
