I think because your monitor cable is not plugged into your computer tower, or it’s loose Johnny
It means the monitor has not yet detected a video signal coming from the video card in your computer. GFC
It means it’s not getting video data from the computer.
Check your monitor cable – or you might have a video card problem with the PC. Also check that the monitor is looking for the correct input source- there’s usually a button for that function – it may have been changed accidentally. Look in the monitor manual or go to tech support at manufacturers site if all else fails. Dave L
