Why does my computer monitor keeps turning off and on?

Apparently you are not alone in your problem. Contact HP about fixing it, if still under warranty. If not, a replacement would be my suggestion.

about a year ago i had the same problem.
I have the same HP Pavilion f 1703 as you and since the problem occured, i called Microsoft and they directed me to some tech people who told me that there was a recall for the computer screen. Try calling them and getting a new moniter. I mailed my old one in and got a new one for free. ciaobella
